This is your basic coffee ice cream. It's DELISH on it's own, but then I thought I'd add a little something. So I bought some dark chocolate toffee pieces from Trader Joe's.
My own FLAVA was born.

In a small bowl combine the half and half, coffee crystals, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the heavy cream. Move to fridge while you chop up the toffee pieces.
When you chop, make them smaller than bite size, but not miniscule. Then set aside in a bowl. They will be added at the end.
Remove from the refrigerator and pour into the bowl of an ice cream machine. Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. In the last 5 minutes add toffee pieces.

1 cup half and half 2 heaping Tablespoons instant coffee crystals 3/4 cup sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 cups heavy cream
