Tazukuri is a traditional New Year's food, which is basically little fishes drenched in a teriyaki sauce. Disgusting if you ask me, but my family likes it, so I make it. It is supposed to bring you "good harverst" - that is, good luck in business in the New Year.

In gredients:
2 cups dried sardines 2 tbsps sugar 2 tbsps soysauce 1 tsp mirin 2 tsps white sesame seeds
Put the dried sardines in a frying pan and fry well. Put sugar, soy sauce, and mirin in a pan and put on high heat. When the sugar mixture is thickened, add the dried sardines. Stop the heat and stir well.

Sprinkle the sesame seeds, if you like, I just didn't have any.
Cool it before serving.
