To make these pumpkins, I took a photograph, used photoshop to change it to a line drawing in black and white and I printed out the image on paper.
Then I taped it to the pumpkin, and using a pushpin, "traced" the area around the negative space.
Then I took an xacto and carved out the areas I wanted the light to shine through - note, I DID NOT puncture all the way through!
